I love my rain skirt. It is so light and easy to put on. Love the color, can almost get away with it as a fashion item.

Wonderful ventilation and freedom whilst walking into Scott Kilvert hut. Quick and easy to put on and easy to store in the pocket of my rain jacket. Handled the wind driven rain well over Hansons Peak. The next day we had snow and wind to 50kph and the skirt stayed fast. Down in Waterfall hut the skirt dried in no time. A versatile item that I also use as a door mat to my X-Mid when the platforms are snow bound.

After faffing about and being unimpressed with my own improvised rain skirts over the last little while I lashed out and bought a little ripper from Teir Tassie. My daughters took to me with much mockery. But alas...I've had the last laugh. I'm 188cm and was able to wear the skirt so that the bottom of it sat just below the top of my gaiters in driving rain and trudging through dripping undergrowth. It sits comfy on the waist with no hit of the draw cord digging in if the cord sits under the backpack's waist belt. So light, the water beads off with the material not absorbing/holding... well-ventilated and no sweating. Big raps from me.
